Seminyak, Bali

Sandy beaches, purple sunsets, bumping music and fruity cocktails (and a few pool side milkshakes if we’re being honest) are the four themes that describe our few days in Seminyak. After spending four days in Ubud, we dove head first into the local scene in Seminyak and quickly realized that Bali is overflowing with Australians due to it’s close proximity and the sheer amount of direct flights, and we found ourselves quickly making friends. Whether it was Balinese locals or newcomers that fell in love with Bali and decided to stay, there was no shortage of interesting people to interact with.

This hip town on the western part of Bali hosts a large number of high-end hotels, swanky beach clubs, great restaurants and more boutiques than you can count. We spent the majority of our days by the beach or pool and then bopping in and out of crowded bars and restaurants at night. We had such a great time here chilling out, hanging with locals and tearing up the Hotel Mexicola dance floor.
