Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Wow, did Ha Long Bay make you feel like you were on another planet. Known as the Bay of Descending Dragons, this area off the northern coast of Vietnam is home to more than 3,000 islands and is breathtakingly beautiful.

In the beginning we sailed through Ha Long Bay, but we specifically chose a cruise company that was one of fifty boats to have a special permit to sail through Bai Tu Long Bay. And man, did we make the right choice. For three days, we felt like we were the only cruise ship in the bay. From kayaking and swimming to cave exploring and touring a pearl farm, sailing through with only the 26 others passengers was such a great way to tour this area.

On board, we got the chance to get to know our awesome tour guides (Coco & Milkman) along with a crew of Australians, quite a few Kiwis and an American couple that was living in Seoul.
